I am absolutely thrilled to share that Whispers: Waves of the Diary has been selected as a Finalist for Best Short Film and Best Cinematographer at the prestigious Cine Vista Oasis Film Awards in Jakarta!

The Cine Vista Oasis Film Awards is an extraordinary event that celebrates excellence in cinema, particularly spotlighting the rich, diverse talent of Southeast Asian filmmakers. Held in Jakarta, Indonesia, the awards bring together filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals from across the region, offering a dynamic platform to showcase outstanding cinematic works. Being recognised in these prestigious categories is truly humbling and an incredible honour.

This recognition acknowledges the hard work and passion that went into Whispers: Waves of the Diary, an experimental short film capturing the timeless beauty of Whitstable. With its evocative cinematography, seamless integration of visual metaphors, and immersive sound design, it’s deeply fulfilling to see the film’s artistry and storytelling shine on an international stage.
